Life can be fragile at times and as we age it becomes clear our families can be potentially touched by a myriad of diseases. While the world may be able to put more computing power in your pocket than the Apollo teams used on their missions to the moon, we don’t seem to progress as fast in the sciences that provide cures.
Mr. Gehrig probably couldn’t conceive of the impact his name would have in raising the level of ALS awareness to new heights back in the 1930’s. In the arena of chronic disease, more often than not it’s a loss that spurs the affected loved ones into action, the ensuing snowball effect of support can be impressive to witness. Case in point was the ice bucket challenge from a few years back but, what we witnessed over this weekend was exceptional as well…
Our core mission at TMX is to facilitate good health, so it’s easy to imagine the good karma our coaches put out there….
When our extended family was impacted by ALS, we asked you all to show up to lend support in raising awareness.
That good karma came full circle yesterday and the generosity displayed by you all was nothing short of humbling.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for being in our corner when we needed you!
We hope you will join us on our next mission to raise awareness for breast cancer research.
